you're only 18? i thought you were older than that. then again... i never asked.

sore neck... well you probably pulled a couple muscles or something. nothing too serious, give it a couple days. theres not much you can do short of a neck brace to stop it from hurting... and thats just stupid. over the counter drugs, as far as im concerned, dont work... advil my ass. if you hurt yourself more, or cant sleep, just get some tylenol 3 with the codeine and that should knock you out for the night... if the booze doesnt.

"you're only 18? i thought you were older than that" a always feel good when a hear this :D, a lot of people told me this over the years, i dont know why, maybe because I'm a bit wiser than the people of my age

as for codeine, you may be on to something, I think I have some around here somewere

Mixing opiates and alcohol can cause problems, I wouldn't suggest it. Then again you're 18 and will make your own mistakes. Just know your liver will hate you.

Happy birthday.

As for a sore neck from headbanging, a warm towel/electric blanket helps temporarily. Try not to sleep on it wrong, it can make it worse.

Happy birthday dude!
About the age, yea, people usually tell me Im older than I actually am (going to be 18 in February).
About the sore neck, theres some special medicine you could get in pharmacies, and just try to keep it warm and maybe massage it a lil bit.

Oh god, you got a sore neck from headbanging too? At a friend's 16th I played Iron Maiden and headbanged A LOT, just deal with it for the day and it should be fine tomorrow after you wake up.

Damn that sounds like one sweet party. I find that I usually get a headache before a neck-ache when I head bang.

Happy birthday man!

Happy birthday mate, congrats!

Only time will heal your neck, hope you didn't hurt it too bad. I screwed mine up waterskiing in the summer and it still hasn't recovered, I can't tilt my head all the way back still.

You do seem a bit older than 18, but I am told the same a lot. 15 going on 95 - I've got achy, dislocating knees, bad shoulder joints, back problems, stiff neck, etc. Not like I'm a wierdo or anything, they're all sports injuries for the most part.

A computer nerd with sports injuries? I for one find that hard to swallow. :)

I allways get mistaken for an older man. However it could be that i've had a thick goat since i was 15. If you pop over to your doctor's office, they'll probly give you some muscle relaxants and or tylenol 3. Double up on the first dose then proceed from there. I asked my doctor if i could drive and operate machinery on the med's. She said, absolutly not! It didnt really affect me as i was hoping it would but that could be because of my physiology. Good luck and best wishes. 18 was a good year for me, I hope it is for you to.

I know it. I, however, am more of a nerd in disguise. Not to stereotype the other people on this forum but I think that if you looked at my Myspace or Facebook without knowing me, you'd probably never call me a "nerd". I'm your average student, the class clown, an athlete, and heavily into the music program at my school. Call me a circus clown many might (I juggle, unicycle, spit fire, wierd **** etc.), but a nerd, not usually.

EDIT: Judge for yourself.

Oh yeah, the headache comes first, but if you headbang enough, then you will get a neckache the next day or later that night.

I've experienced this twice, both at the Iron Maiden concert and my Friend's party.

Yeah, after Ozzfest this year, I could barely move my head in any direction without getting a splitting headache. I had the same problem a few nights ago listening to some 3 Inches of Blood.

Also, Tybrenis, I know how you feel. I'm like the exact same way. When I came back to school this year, no one believed I built my computer, just because I don't look like I would be smart enough or whatever to build a computer.

I showed those fools though.

Progbuddy, raves are lame. "ooh, lets have lights and glowy things and really repetitive music".
