I have air brushed and spray painted models before , (I prefer spray for some reason) and I am not verry good at this. Con some 1 plz give me a hand with types of paint, equipment, and technique.

There are actually many threads here that ask/answer questions about painting. Way too many to link to, use search and look up something like "painting" or "paint question" etc... and just see what you find. Then if you have a more specific question it will be easier to locate an answer for you.

if you do some searching on the board you should find a bunch of threads regarding case painting. Its a commmonly posted subject.

Basically.
0- sand your surface smooth. Any bump, scratch or uneveness now will really show up in the final product.

1- use the same type of paint for priming, color and sealer. (i.e. use enamel primer with enamle color). Preferably from the same company (they usually design them to work better together)

2- use many thin coats. if you can still see the previous coat in someplaces thats fine.

3- let each coat dry thouroughly. if you don't you will get slumping, bubbles and the paint may stay tacky for months. (it can take more than a week to paint a case properly unless you have an oven to bake it in)

4- after the last clear coat let it cure/harden for a month before waxing it otherwise you might get clouding.

note this is the general processes for making a mirror finish case (like a car). if you are doing an industrial style mod or millitary/camo mod you don't have to e so picky.

start a work log and post some pictures as you do it.

Good luck
