paintin probs

hey all
i always seem to ave teh same problem wen spray paintin...
i use maskin tape...that might be my problem? i dunno. anyway yeah maskin tape to mark the areas i dont want painted. but either the paint gets up and th ejob looks shonky. or the tape leaves a sticky residue on my freshly painted coat. and ruins it. either way.
so i must be doin somethin wrong.

Use better masking tape. Please do not use the masking tape you find in dollar stores. Those are just paper with glue. Buy 3M Painters Masking Tape. I ussualyl double layer the areas with masking tape so the paint doesn't go through. Also Press down the masking tape as hard as you can with you're fingertips.

I try to mask off as much of the area I can with newspaper and such. That way, I have less masking tape to deal with.

And also, like Fear said, press as hard as you can on the tape so no edges are up. Otherwise, yeah, you will get paint under there (I've had the same problem).
