So, as I am a HUGE fan of Conan O'Brien, I just wanted to let you guys in with this "thing" that they are calling a "phenomenon". I think it is absolutely hilarious.

So what do manatees have to do with Conan O'Brien you ask? Well I'll tell you!

This is how it all started. During an episode of Conan O'Brien, Conan mentioned a website that did not exsist. Now, by law, they then have to purchase that website. Here comes the good part! The website was called, get this, "http://hornymanatee.com/". The crazy thing is that it has had over 4 million hits within a week's time! It has grown from nothing, to some obscure insanity of what they are calling a "phenomenon"! I guess that is the nature of the beast? You take a late night talk show host, mix in some kind of crazy random bs, then advertise it on national television, and you end up with an extremely viral media!

What do you guys think of this? Personally? It makes me laugh everytime I visit that website. :bunny:

The entire thing was orchestrated by their marketing department. It's only a phenome because of his audience, and the fact that crap on the net spreads faster than syphilis on a pirate ship. The only funny part was James Lipton's ode to a manatee--because the guy is brilliant. the rest (fan art) is decidedly unfunny

I like Manatees... or, in spanish, Manatí.

They're very friendly animals, if maybe kind of dumb.
They're really like a huge dog... ok, maybe a HUGE dog.

It's semi-common occurence to be surfing (remember, I'm over @ Puerto Rico), and have a manatee swim up to you.
The first time it happened to me I, being quite honest, **** my pants right then and there.

Remeber, this is a big mofo animal we're talking about.
But anyways, as you float there in the water waiting for the waves, the manatees just, well, chill-out with you.

One big problem we have over here is the propellers of boats... they 'slice' the manatees.
You see, manatees are very curious and friendly creatures... and they're chillin' in the water, when suddenly they hear a boat (engine noise). So they swim up to see what's up... and BAM.
Unfortunate, but true.

Well, that's my 0.02 of manatees for now.
And, just for reference (and for me wasting 30 more seconds of my life), you can write the í by pressing ALT + 161.

:)
Peace guys
