whats not to love about the 7600GT
it has perfect price/performance.
it performs with the relative quality the 7800 with the price of the 6800

I thought so too, but was unable to buy it, so got me a 7900GS :D (which is also quite nice)

i was surprised to see a review for an AGP card the other day. i believe it was an ATI X1950. i didnt even know they made agp cards that gen...

needless to say, it kicked the crap out of the benchmarks, regardless of the fact its only agp. although it certainly isnt on my list of things to buy when it comes to upgrades.

btw minty, congrats on getting all 16 pipelines unlocked. i had a 6800LE(/shudder) that was also 8/4 stock, but i could only get it to 12/5 without severe artifacts.

yeah i had a 6800 ultra back in the day lol
the 7900 GS is also a superb value, especially afterthe 8800's release

im really starting to wonder how the numbering system is going to go for nvidia. i still have bad memories of my 9600/9800 days...lol

The 7600GT is still a respectable card, no doubt about that. Especially happy to see that you've decided to go with XFX. Those guys make great quality cards =]

Snowfire, have you seen this version of the 7600 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814143049)? The core and memory clocks are a bit lower but it would be considerably cheaper after the rebate.

BFG puts the OC after the GT for a reason. ^_^

Well the reason why I wanted the XFX one was because its black. Which would then match... well, everything. lol :)
