I do remember that Crimson mentioned that he would unlock it for those who had a certain rep score but I don't remember what it needed to be. And Super Secret Agents are forbidden from impersonating a commoner ;)

You should have more than that tybrenis! Your mod is fantastic and your a pretty helpful person too!

As to why some have it and some don't? I'm putting my guess towards either post count or rep count.

Maybe its post count or how long you have been on the forums. Or maybe its where if you have enough rep points you become a regular and that is like 20 points or something.

The mods will sort this out soon. Stress less people.

No, it doesn't suck. It just means that how long you've been around and how much you post isn't being used as a measure of how much you've contributed.

How long you've been here doesn't matter.
How much you've posted doesn't matter.

Your rep is decided by other users and we keep an eye on it to ensure the system isn't abused. It makes sense. The rep system is pretty new, everyone's just getting used to it. You can get a max of 10 green scales, we have a couple of guys who have managed to get 2.

So stop stressing out about it! Crimson set up the custom titles and i don't know the conditions he put on it.

After getting to a certain Rep, which i've forgotten at the moment, you get 'upgraded' to a regular member, allowing you to upload your sig to our server, an increased PM mailbox, and other small things that we don't particularly want to give to spammers and 3 post wonders.

That's how it works just now. It takes very little time to get to Regular status, but if you really think it's too hard, then i'm open to discuss and debate the merits and failures of the new system in an effort to make TBCS the best it can be.

Oh, and one last thing...i don't think regular members get the custom title as Standard. Crimson was in a good mood one day and handed them out to everyone who had a certain rep score. He might feel happy enough to do this again sometime in the future, but i can almost 100% promise you that asking for one will severely reduce your liklihood of getting one. Crimson uses these as a way to reward people who make good contributions, and doesn't like to throw them around.
