I've already upgraded his RAM but now I want to upgrade his CPU. This is the one I am looking at right now...

Will that work in his computer? Do you guys think this upgrade will show alot of improvement in performance?

Thanks guys!

that cpu should work in that comp, seeing as how that motherboard supports northwood p4 cpu's, but will you see a lot of performance improvement? probably not a whole heck of a lot. goin from a 2.3 or whatever it was to a 2.8, even though it a celeron to an actualy p4, probably wont be a decent enough change to warrant it IMO.

If you want a better performance jump, id say get a new faster Hard drive. that will be a better performance increase as far as im concerned.

but.. anyone else? i could be completely wrong.
