Alright, I have browsed over the forums here at TBCS for a long time, and I have admired all of the work that is done here. You guys really know your stuff.
Compared to what you all do here, I would like to break into the modding community by starting out with some "light" modifications.
First, check out my case, it can be seen here:
http://techgage.com/article/justpc_r910_server_tower
and here:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811200034
As for the modifications, here goes.
First off, I bought an L-shaped window kit and a nibber and I plan to cut out a window slot in the side door. I have never used a nibber before, so any advice there would be appreciated.
I also need to cut out the top of the case to fit a triple radiator. I bought a RadGrillz triple radiator bracket that has guides for cutting and such, I assume I will just use the nibber on this also, as I don't have a good saw and my dremel is a battery powered piece of junk.
As for the inside, I plan to coat everything with some black non-reflective spaypaint.. I was just going to use aluminum rustoleum for the job, if you guys have used something else with good results, let me know. :)
As I would love your help in discussing the modifications that I have listed above, I would also love to discuss with you guys some other modifications that I could do to the case. The basic idea is to have it so that the liquid cooling tubes glow red under some UV light through the window.
:) Let me know what you think!
