View Full Version : Ol' Beater needs a new name

Ok. My computer, Ol' Beater, running a Pentium III, is gonna be massively upgraded. After this upgrade, that means that every single part on this PC has been replaced, therefore it should be renamed. I was thinking Die Weiderbelebung, german for the resurrection. But I realize that slytherock named his that, but in english.


The important details:
New case, with a lexan "x" in the side w/ fan
Athlon 64 X2 3800+ (Socket AM2)
Dual IDE HDD's, for now

Need some inspiration for a new name. Can anyone help me out?

Go with SATA instead of IDE if you can.

Motherboard I'm buying has 4 SATA ports on it.

The theme....eh, there's really no "theme." I would prefer a german word, something that popps out, like my screename. Mitternacht, it's german for midnight. And it's a cool lookin' german word. I don't know, anything that makes sense german or not.

I've had a name in my sig for awhile, Sachten, I believe its german for shadow. If you want to use it feel free, it was for a plan I had to make a completely black diamond shape case but I gave up on it and was too lazy to change my sig.

Sachten is sang in german. but german for shadow is Schatten. You were close.

But good idea, I'll mess around with the word shadow.

You know, ...I'm gonna tribute the name to this place.

Das Beste Fallszenar, german for "Best Case Scenario." The name looks cool. Maybe I can cut those letters into the case, below the X on the side cover.

Also, at first, I was gonna make this an Intel buildup. But I've got the money, so I'm going dual-core, Athlon 64 now that I can.

Yeah, I knew that Mitternacht was German for "Midnight".

Maybe something like "Blitzkrieg" or something like that.

I think that is German isn't it? You can search for the word in other languages too if you want. If you don't like that one, then try looking through some dictionaries. Thats what I do, it's only like a 832 hour mind numbing reading extravaganza.

Nein, sechzig vier ist zu "plain". Ich liebe Wiedergeboren, das is sehr gut imho.

Ich werde auch diesen Computer für Nintendo 64 Spiele benutzen.
