It's here, and it's all installed now. I was sleeping when it arrived. So wewt for me, I get DirectX 10. I got it through eVGA's step-up program, so I got $500 back on the 7950GX2 that I already had. And now, pictures!

It's here!

A notice about the insane power it will consume

And there it is!

Wrapped up in protective radiation shielding (it has an internal nuclear cell you know).

A warning about the dangers of it exploding

I was just trying to make sure it would fit in there

There's the bug that delayed my installation. Fell out of my processor's heatsink.

Unwrapped, in all it's glory

There appears to be an Nvidia label underneath the eVGA one

Massive heatsink

Massive fan

Two power connectors, of course

This thing is a beast

It has a blackish color, like gunmetal

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I had to move my hard drive down one space to make room for it.

The card actually goes over the hard drive a little bit

http://codeinsurrection.com/pics/8800/PICT6695.JPG

And the hard drive is actually slanted a little so it doesn't touch the card

My motherboard doesn't actually support SLI (I know, I did a bad thing). But it does support crossfire. Asus P5W DH Deluxe.

No insects in there this time, right? ;)

If an insect attempts to crawl into my video card, a small nuclear detonation will be set off.

rofl

Will that be caused by the power of the card or the security device you installed to prevent theft? :P

Why would you need SLI anyways? Isn't that card already more powerful than most SLI setups for around the price?

It's a little louder than the 7950GX2, but I already have five 8mm case fans for noise, so I don't really notice it. Right now I'm looking fo a game to get into. One to play online and really put time into and become a part of. I downloaded the Battlefield 2 demo, and it seems promising so far. But I'm also trying to find something to give a nice workout to me 8800 here. I hear Oblivion would be good, but I already played the hell out of the 360 version. I know, the PC one had mods and such, but I'm just tired of the game.

Well i'm definatley going to put some pressure on my video card and my CPU with 2 specific games...

Medieval II Total War: This will be for the CPU because ther's literally going to be hundreds of independent AI soldiers in the battlefields to controll and issue orders to so the CPU will get a real workout here.

Oblivion: Foliage area's are your friends with a graphics card like that =] You might also want to wait and see what Bioshock will bring, graphics wise, to the FPS genre =]

well firstly if he was going to sli them (asuming he had a supported mobo) what about power require ments i doubt u have a quad rail psu or one that at least supports quad sli cuz u would need to more pcie 6pins
although u could use the molex to six pins but unless u sheethed em they would look ugly
