So I had to go to the hardware store yesterday because my wife needed a new piece of glass for this one picture frame. I was asking they guy about plex, and he said that they do sell it. I said that I needed a scrap piece about 3" x 8" to play around with etching. He pulled out a new sheet, and cut it for me right there. Then he said it's a $1.99 for the glass, but don't say anything about the plex. It isn't very thick, only 1/16", but it will do.

Plexi is pretty cheap, though. I went to TAP to get some for ArgDawn, and it was only like 21$ for 18in*18in of 1/4in.

Show off... lol. He said that they only carry 1/16 inch. I have a contact at an auto glass place I might try and look up. They also do acryllic/plex work and might have some larger scraps I can score.

Show Off? Man, All of TAP's acrylic is dirt cheap. You should see if there's one near you. It's worth it.

It's useful for so much more than just Plexiglass stock, too. They have all sorts of epoxies, signs, vinyls (I think), even a Plexiglass Podium!

Oh wow, they have 2'*2' for 24$ of basic clear plexi, that's pretty good.

For plexiglass, look for "Plastic Sheets & Rolls" under the "Plastic" section.

nah.. I got the 11"x14" piece of glass for $1.99, and the 3"x8" plex for free. I was just reall surprized the guy gave it to me because he said that they sell plex for twice the amount of standard glass.
