Yeah its my first mod. its what i'm planning to do to my tsunami dream case.
I made a quick 3d Rendering of what its going to look like when im done. its simple and makes my comp carrying 10x easier.

[Note]: There are actually two rails to hold items on the right, 2nd one was too smooth in the rendering so it doesn't show too well.
The right carrying slot will have a bungee type securing for the items inside and will use mesh fabric to actually hold in cables/keyboard/mouse etc.

Both segments will probably use an L bracket or something of the sort, same thing u use on doors :D

If you intend on the screen to be permanently attached to your case and if you are a right handed gamer, you might have problems with the mouse and mouse pad and hand space. Good idea though but if you maybe think of practical use outside it's practicality in mobility it could remove a lot of pains.

haha actually i never use my mousepad on my desk, its always on my lap. i wouldnt really have any problems whatsoever haha. i carry my case around alot and its a pain in the ass to make 2-3 trips when i could be making 1 :D

That looks like a nice idea, but my choice would lay on a suitcase of some sort, and a micro atx form factor motheboard inside, or basically anything else that can fit inside and let peripherals also fit.
I'd love to see the outcome :)

What about making a door that covers the monitor when you're carrying it. And when you open it, it drops down, and makes a nice surface to hold your keyboard / mouse? Reminds me a little of a portable painter's kit I used to have. Good renders, and interesting idea looking forward to seein how this turns out.

i belive somone over at bit-tech.net has done a simalar mod and it came out great
also u dont need to worry about space to move the mouse with if ure using a trackball

besides im ambedextrious when it comes to pc's so i dont think i would have a problem with.

hey vertigo, how much did the rig in ure sig cost u for the ram? i may look into ure ram if it was cheap

Not bad, it was around 425 for the 4 gigs. And they come with heat spreaders too. So far, they've performed well for cheapies.

the only part of the design i am worried about is the separation of the lcds. if you moved them to the front by using an extender bar they could thoretically fit snug together.

I think this, though I'm not quite sure either.

door on the right side is for carrying keyboard/mouse/cables... basically the whole thing moves as one unit. the shelving didnt show up well in the render but basically you would put your lan stuff there and unpack it when you arrive.. its pretty cool imo.. sorry for the delay and all, been busy with school and manufacturing the parts in my schools shop class ^^;

On the peripheral side I suggest you make a box somewhere in the HDD cage or under the DVD-rom drive for the mouse with a small door under the large door. This would allow you to make the right side smaller since there would be no "fat mouse" wasting space in the side.
If you are going to use a slim mouse this won't be a problem.

Still, it's a great idea. +rep
