If u use steam and have half life 2 and Counter Strike, have you downloaded gmod or Garry's mod 10.If so do you know of any links for it for free?
(Im only asking because I dont want to pay $10. I know, I'm cheap)

Only the most recent versions of Garry's Mod are pay. Older versions are still on an open license. Look up an old PC Gamer disk or something, or Google for previous versions. Garry's mod is a scam in my mind, i want to pay for a game, not a freakin' DIY game kit *batteries not included.

Having Hl2 and Cs might mean u have garrys mod because you need it to play Garrys mod so it might or might not have anything to do with it but im just assuming that youve heard of it and probably downloaded it. The only reason why im being cheap is because im broke after paying
$800 for my computer

Nah sorry, Gmod doesn't appeal to me, you don't need HL2 or CS:S to play it, you just need the Source engine.

You'll have bigger problems if you talk about illegally downloading software on this site. ;) Just a friendly warning. The TBCS handbook really is a handy thing, by the way. ;)

The thing about trying to download a STEAM game illegally is that it won't work with steam, so it must be a very very cracked version of that game, and my favorite part of garry's mod is the online play which you must have steam to play on.

yeah, it's like a diy kit. I like it because i like to build and make things that i would have no way making in real life. And the fact that i have become addicted to the terrible terrible rpg games. They really suck, and i don't know why i enjoy it. kind of an rpfps.

Anyway, just freakin' spring for that game, man. If it's impossible to download for free, which it is, then it's worth the 10 dollars. So do it. I'll see you in garry's mod!

garry's mod 10 is awesome, when i tried it i was playing it for hours on end! i tried making a truck and trailer with the buggy but it was always back heavy so i had to add thrusters and all kinds of stuff.

yes i once had an account with steam and tried entering randoms keys and they banned me. so i went to ebgames and got a the cheap ($15-$20) half life platium and went from there for my new account.

i have a friend who has GMod 9 and 10 and he said there is almost no difference.
i have Gmod 9 and have some fun spawning stuff, but on dial-up i can't game online if my life depended on it.

10 is better, not sure its worth the $10 from my point but if they both cost $10 i would get 10 no questions.

I haven't played with Gmod in a while, but I can do that in HL2 with no problems on my X1600Pro so I think you'll be fine ;)

Why bump a 6 month old thread? Besides, i did that about 4 months back and you can't play online unless you join a pirated server.
