My 360 seems to have blown the video card, tech support never got back to me but even if they do I'm not holding my breath on affordable repairs (but who knows?). In the meantime, ne sense letting it go to waste. Maybe someone here knows how to swap the video card out or come up with an interesting project?

I would suggest seeing if they want to RMA or just send out a new one before tearing it apart. Try to get a new one.

Maybe a itx car pc? I don't know.

I think you folks get the point. the next person to post about making explosives or even hinting at its construction will be rewarded with a permanent ban.

I mean, I even have some earth magnets I could smash up for the thermite. And come on, what's not fun about molten steel

Sorry for bringing up the subject of explosives. I shouldn't of even mentioned it.

Doh!, I think the message is clear...
Back to the topic, I always wondered how it look inside the 360 case. I will google it right now, anyway, there's probably enough room for a small PC... Or make a reservoir for a WC?

Oh yea! A reservoir would be sweet man! Even a computer would be pretty kickin, but a reservoir would be just killer. Add some windows, some uv lighting, of course some fans as well unless you figure out how to make it a passive cooler. Dang, Maybe I'll take my old xbox and try this... might be pretty cool. haha, no pun intended.

Maybe try putting an old console system in it? NES? haha

ok, a blown GPU in a 360 isnt swappable, so the whole thing is dead basically. if you cant RMA it, it would be a perfect opportunity to take the housing and make a computer case out of it. wouldnt that be a shock, seeing a 360 running windows or linux?

i dont think theres room for the 360's electronics AND another computer. you probably have to gut it and then put the new parts in. that probably involves a new mounting scheme too, as im pretty sure the 360 doesnt follow the ATX standard. i dont know for sure though... only trying it out will give an answer.

You already killed it? :O
How??

You could make something like an HTPC out of it.

I say either introdouce it to Mr. Hammer (Publically, of course) or use it in some nifty project. I like the HTPC idea, too.

Oh man, I've been waiting for something like this--not that I wanted anyones to die on them, but I've always wanted to take the power card thing in there--and try to connect it to a mobo, so I could use 360 controllers to turn on my computer.

I'm not sure if it would work, but, it would be sweet nonetheless.

Hope MS is nice to you and gives you a new one.

Heck, if you can't RMA it, I'll buy the wireless card from you.

To my amazement, MS has agreed to replace the XBox 360 for free. I don't even think it's in warranty b/c I bought it used over 1 year ago. But hell, sounds good to me. Gotta say cheers to MS!

Odd, I thought I saw it once...........

Oh well. Nice job with MS--that's sweet that they are replacing it. Maybe MS isn't so bad after all........

The Radio Frequency Board. It has the power button on it, and receives that transmissions from the controllers. That's what I think I meant.........
