Funny screen shot taken from a forum of a guy who decided to cut off the back half of his PCI-E bus on his 7800gt to make it fit in a PCI slot is asking why his card won't work.

My favourite part "so that it fit in the 1 slot things", says all there is to know about that dude. I would like to know on what forums it was posted.

That's fantastically funny. I'm glad our noobs aren't that bad.

I think that's beyond being a noob, that's like being arrogant, no respect or knowledge of technology, no common sense, no brains basically. Plain stupid.

Good thing he's asking questions. He just has the procedure wrong. It's ask then cut. Not cut then ask.

Bravo, that was an exceptionally expensive mistake. If your gonna screw up I guess, go big or go home.

:Bonk: That was very dumb. I've broken expensive things before, but I've always known beforehand that I might do that. I haven't thought, 'let me cut this expensive thing, that will make it work better guaranteed."

Probably the same guy that would buy 184 pin ddr400 and cut it in half so it fits in his laptop, or snip one pin off a Socket 940 processor and wonder why it doesn't work in a 939 board.

Or asking if you need to install software in order to add another hard drive.

takes modding to a whole new level. If it dont fit, just cut it to make it fit. Should try this with an atx board in a micro atx case.

ROFL His dell doesn't even have AGP slots in the first place, only PCI. And even better, that card is PCI-E, so it doesn't matter anyways! Seriously what a dumbass.

But no, wait, there's more. When it didn't fit, he decided to fricken' cut off a chunk of it!!! What a great idea, dumbass.

Can't believe I missed this post. lol Basically, that's more like insult to injury. It'd be better if the guy was holding an old card that did have all the bottom tabs cut off in a pic and going "YEAH!!1"

Ok, I got it. Still want those speakers on fire with elves dancing around throwing pixie dust and shouting in a joyful manner. Those speakers look so lame.

I use Lucas Film THX approvevd snowman speakers. Do you?

"Capitan Obvious away!" *Zooms off into the sky with a billowing cape.

Some people just shouldn't be let near a computer. Like DIY wireless mouse by one with a cord and cut the cord off. "But my mouse don't work" they cry.

Good work snow fire +rep for the sacrifice.

I will send you one jamican dollar through paypal. Which is about 1/65 of a US dollar.

Oh come on now I gotta know what you did...

Ya, I had my first computer which was a super fast 486 33mhz, and I was so eager to learn how to do all sorts of stuff to it. I was told a rule about a power cable that I found that was not true after all. I was told that the yellow wire on a molex connecter was suppose to be on the side of molex connecter closes to the ribbion cable. So I go to hook up a hard drive that did not follow the rule and fix the connecter to were it did, and turned it on. I quickly learn not to change the way things fit, because from that computer came a puff of smoke. It was pretty, it happened quick, and I pretty quickly learned a lesson at age 12.

Argh! Potatobucket have dropped the link because it was getting too many views.

Anyone have the link from the first post in their cache? Send it to me, and i'll give it a nice home on the TBCS server for a while...mainly so i can show everyone in the Department of Computer Science @ Glasgow Uni.

Might even turn it into...the best forward in the world.
