I have a friend who's building a computer, and he's going to pay me $50 to assemble it to him. He's already payed for everything, and he's just waiting for it to arrive. If only he asked me how it was before he bought it. I didn't really pay attention to what he has in in, but if he had me pick stuff out for him I could'e save him some money and imporved his system, by telling him where to buy and what to buy. I just don't get that. "So hey, I just spent all of this money on all of this stuff, is it any good?" "No, you just screwed yourself. But since you decided to ask me at this point, I'll gladly make it good!"

The good news is I still get $50. Also, he likes my acrylic case and asked how much is cost. I told him it was like $70, he said he was surprised and thought it cost like $150. Then I told him if I had the rights tools, he could just buy sheets of acrylic and I could build a case for him, and it'd be much cheaper. Then he suggested to buy me a Dremel and other things for it rather than paying me $50. So I may get something even better out of this.

the sheets of acrylic alone would be more than $70. plus it would take you at least 10-14 hours with all the right machinery and tools at hand to construct it. To have an acrylic shop cut the material, its usually about $1.50-$3.00 per cut. Some things are just not cheaper to build yourself.

When reading this, I almost thought he bought something like a 478 processor and a AM2 mobo.

But yeah, research is the key. I was gonna buy an MSI mobo and a dual-core Athlon 64 at Tigerdirect. It was $70 cheaper at Newegg for thee same parts.
