this is the first time i have ever done anything to a case and i would like to just put that junk up there.
i made a jagged hole and i put an on off switch so yeah. plus i tore the metal outta the front so you could see neon through the front. btw this isnt my comp cause its a P.O.S. its cool though. check it out and give me any suggestions.

Thats quite nice for the first time! :)
Eventually, you'll learn how the dremel handles, and you'll be able to do precision cuts in no time ;)

Good luck!

Welcome to TBCS! This is the best modding community on the net. Period.

From what I can see, the mod looks pretty good. Won't really be able to give feedback regarding the cuts ATM. Do you have any day/flash shots?

I like how they look nice and clean in the dark. And the metal cut out in the front was a good idea, I recognize the Hp case with the fogged up plastic. Makes for a great start on that case, you even want to put better parts into case and paint it up.

i am gettin ready to just take everything out and paint the case black. black for two reasons. 1 it looks cool. and 2 because it will hide most of my mistakes. im probably gonna slap another pic up here when its done.

Are you going to do it the extensive way (Disassembly, priming, painting, sanding, etc, then reassembly with new rivets) or the cheap way (take it all out and spray it down)?

the extensive way.
plus the damn thing already needs some cleanin and etc.
plus if you do it the cheap way i could really screw it up casue i am not the ebst at this yet. so yeah.

well the painting it black did not work becuase i went up to the walmart thinkin "hey ill just buy some black spray paint its only like 2.50" but nooo i was shut down by those bastards caus you gotta be 18 to buy spray paint and im only like a few months outta that.
so i painted it silver which i had in the garage. i think it looks pretty cool. the problem was that it started raining during it and it kinda added a cool effect to it. so yeah

i am just gonna let that thing dry out in my garage n then put it all back together. and i tihnk i left some edges off of it so ill probably wind up paintin it again. and agian. but yeah

what you've done so far looks nice :)
a couple of suggestions, nothing too hard:
0. can't really see the cuts that well, but it's best to smooth them.. make em close to perfection.. go overboard on details :) also, i kinda cut my finger in my side panel.. i wanted flames and got.. sharp teeth ;) will smooth them and suppress the urge to get them sharp and shiny =)
1. sand all the weird spots with maximum effort.. not power :p so that the surface is smooth.. doesn't mater if u go trhu the paint to a small amount.. if u have more silver, re-coat it :) repeat till surface is as perfect as u want it (be very demanding) and wait at least a couple of hours if not a day.. keep in the garage, out of harms way. when done with this stage, u can use this as a base coat for..
2. get your dad or someone older (or wait) to buy metal cast paint.. and carefully paint thin layers of the new paint on the silver 'primer'.. so you'll get a metalized look :D if want of course :) or..
3. mask some spots with painter's masking tape and create some nice patterns.. do a nice couple of black coats and before the last coat is dry, ripp the tape to reveal the silver model :D
4. use appropriate clear coat after a week or more.. find a nice tutorial to learn about it, as this i can't do or offer advice on..

just some suggestions :) happy modding :)

What would be cool with that jagged slot is to have one rotated 90*, and then make a slider piece that has a similar jagged area on one side, and then make some jaws or something that move while the computer's on... that would be sweet... heh heh, man, when I get off my lazy butt and actually mod something, and when my parents let me (:(), I'll have to try to make something like that...

EDIT: Oh, and welcome to TBCS.
