so i thought this is worth mentioning. bad weather... again. 2 inches of snow last night and rain most of today... and it actually made a stadium roof collapse in town.

now the wind is blowing like crazy, and the transformers are blowing up again. the sky is lighting up green and blue. what a wonderful year eh?

so anyways... if i suddenly disappear and stop posting that means the power's gone out again.

Oh man, be careful--that sucks.
Surprisingly, Wisconsin (my little chunk at least) has nothing.
Stadium roof? Was it old? Or is it just extremely bad there?

its just bad. very bad right now. its dying down, but it was a big western wind again. the emergency frequencies are going non stop right now because of all the wires down. i just watched a big apple tree snap in half at a park by our house too.

the stadium wasnt old. im not sure what was going on there. the snow and rain probably had something to do with it.

so i dont think the power's going out now, but across the river everything is black so theres probably tens of thousands of people without power for the rest of the night anyways.

The weather where I am at right now is pretty bad too! Don't we live semi close to eachother Slug Toy? I wonder how Rankenphiles territory is doing... he's the closest to me that I know of.

I'm expecting quite a few blown over tree's in the morning thats for sure. I hope none hits my house! ...not that it would matter a whole bunch. The logs that make this house are bigger than any I have seen around here thus far. This guy must of hand picked the best of them from somewhere. lol omg... did I just admit that he did something right? I'll have to tell my dad! I tell you what, the guy who built this house is a freaking moron. Thats all I'm going to say.

Same here, yesterday's morning it was sunny and all, but then wind started blowing like mad + rain. I hate rain.

wow slug toy. that must suck. i guess us in ontario have swapped you bc guys with weather. its 12 degrees and rainy here right now, january 6th. Not a speck of snow. usually by this time we've got a couple feet.

but.. i love this weather. reminds me of when i lived in abbotsford.

almost sounds like you guys are having another 1996 storm. we had a chicken barn completely flooded killing about 10,000 chickens.

good luck

actually its mostly over now. no wind, and its eerily quiet. now i can go run some errands that i wanted to do yesterday.

the snow is gone too, it warmed up last night.

oh man, it was so funny last night. me and my brother were up at a school ground at midnight watching the transformers going on the other side of the river, and there were still planes coming in. imagine what the passengers were thinking as they look down at the city and see all these blue and green flashes. not to mention the turbulence there must have been. i would have loved to be up there looking down... must have looked like a war zone.

You can blam that **** on the pinnacolada causeway (pineapple express). I hate the names they give thies storms. I had a bit of wind last night and some power surges but was never in the dark.

incase you didnt know, i live about 20 min from slug.

so it was that varied? you didnt get much, we got tons, and apparently it was crappy all down the coast. and guess what, its supposed to happen again tonight.

im not convinced its the pineapple express. usually you get a hell of a lot more rain from it. my mom has a friend at university who has a doctorate in meteorology, and he figures its some abnormally unstable front going through right now. it makes sense because last night it got perfectly clear around 3 in the morning, and now its cloudy again... i think the fronts are shifting at the moment.

we'll catch up to you soon enough. just a couple more months and then the days will be reasonably warm here again... and then another month or two and its summer, and you guys will be in winter.

Except our winter in Sydney isn't actually that cold in the low 20's (68 fahrenhiet).

I've allways said that if i could go on vaction anywere in the world, it'd be to Aires rock via Perth. I'd just die if i could go to Coober Pedy, that place looks ****ing insane! I'd also love to go to the Steve Irwin memorial and check out his zoo. I had a pen pal who lived in perth and sent me postcards. Fabulous place, just fabulous!
