You guys know stuff about graphics can any of you answer these questions for my study guide there true and false I really need help.
Presses can only print line images

Presses can only print line images

if this means printing press (which im sure it does), then its false. printing presses can print anything you can imagine and engrave into whatever you do the printing with.


The direct stencil is a photographic stencil coated onto screens

its true in the sense that it is coated onto screens. its false if they mean that an image is coated onto the screen, because the image is formed after the entire screen is coated. direct stencils are made like this:

-a light sensitive emulsion is spread onto a screen
-the screen is exposed to a photo positive
-the emulsion will harden or stay soft depending on if its hit by light or not
-the non hardened stuff will be washed off, and this is how you get an image to appear

seems to me i used to fiddle around with clip art way back in elementary school when it was all the rage. i think one of the reasons the school used it is because it was copyright free. im going with true, but im not sure.

Yeah, and those are therefore protected by copyright.

you need to look up Wikipedia. Study more often!
