Newegg has ps3 in stock 60gig shows how much Microsoft and wii are beating it.

I work for a big-box retailer. We've been sitting on PS3s for the 2nd week straight now. Been sitting on 8 of them, got as low as 6 but we had the first two that were purchased returned already because they couldnt sell them on e-bay.

Meanwhile, we did get 18 Wii's, they lasted about three hours. Had 6 Nintendo DS's come in, and gone in about a half hour. Also in past couple weeks, sold about 3-4 360's, and at least they didnt get returned.

They're just following in everyone elses footsteps. It's probably not a good idea to put one up on ebay and expect a big profit right now. Nov 17th was a different story.

The PS3 is fugly as hell. It's actually worse than the original X-Box (or as we call it, the FatBox).

I got mine a few weeks before Christmas and still couldn't turn a profit. PS3s actually hit their lowest ebay price right before Christmas. I'm taking mine back tomorrow.

Lol Sony must be ****ting themselves. Once they sought out their blue ray lenses supply issues, drop the price a bit and some good games come out sales should pick up.

ive played all three new gen consoles and my opion is:

ps3>360>>>>wii

dont like any enought to drop 4 bills on...im stickin with my brand new rig (see other topics) and my ps2 slim

Yeah, I've got PS3s in stock too. I don't think their release went as well as planned.

i stopped by the local Target store on the way to school to ridicule the doomed ps3 consumers
and much to my suprise 6 people were patiently standing in front.
they even offered me a position in line. personally, pc gaming is for me, so i refused

It's always been about "killer apps" for me. I have a PC for battlefield, EVE and CSS; a PS2 for GTASA and Gran Turismo (apart from 4, that sent me to sleep!); and a PSP for wipeout and killzone. I tried my brother's wii (no obvious pun intended lol) and it was a lot of fun for stints of about 30 minutes, then the activity started to wear me out. And xbox has never had any games out for it that I want and aren't already available on PC, like CoD2.

NONE of today's consoles and machines suck, they're all excellent. The PS3 is dying at the moment because there are more and better games out for the other 2 systems. But once the price starts to come down, which it will, the average softcore player will get hold of it, for easy net connectivity in the lounge, bluray DVD's, etc.

sony may be botching this round...hard....but at least its not the first time theyve blown it when trying to launch new technology. any of you own mini-disc players? lol.

odds are, being the multi-billion corporation they are, somewhere, somehow, they'll bounce back and regain their lost investment.
