Kes ogres de Barback - Cirrhose
One of the most beautifull song I've heard. Now try to translate :D

tu m'as pris trop d'espace
En troisième, très pratique,
j'ai le coeur qui panique
La quatrième sévère,
tu m'as mis en colère
La cinquième générale,
tu m'as fait trop de mal
Et la dernière facile,
pour notre histoire inutile

Je n'me souviens de rien,
et mon coeur a tout méprisé
Les six roses en bouquet
offertes par le sien
La première généreuse,
il y eut des heures heureuses
La seconde, dérisoire,
il y eut des années noires
En troisième mal placée,
tu t'es souvent trompé
La quatrième impure,
je n't' aime plus et c'est sûr
La cinquième comme toujours,
tu as tué mon amour
Et la dernière facile
pour notre histoire inutile

Je n'me souviens de rien
et mon coeur a tout oublié
Si c'était mal ou bien
les six roses en bouquet !

Supertramp - "The logical song" - in my head, where it has remained resolutely for several days since DaJe did an exceptionally kind thing and went to the trouble of calling me and playing it to me down my mobile phone from thousands of miles away. I have been walking round the hospital singing it out loud ever since. My rendition is getting pretty good and the words and someone singing in the hallways and lifts and corridoors of a public hospital seem to resonate and touch people - although old it is totally a song of our times :)

Now that I wanna hear !!!!! I dont think I admitted before that despite being over 40 and all Buddhisty-like, I am massively into the whole rave scene, dance music, techno, trance, acid Jazz, even some hard core Industrial Euro-techno at the right gig, ambient, soft jungle, etc etc and go to a party every new years eve where the Chemical Brothers DJ.

E, hunni, I can't see youtube through the firewall. Your parent's wont mind if you make a long distance phone call to a mobile phone to play a song to a hospitalised and crazy Buddhist - will they?

I WoW'd for over a year, but I've been "clean" since July. ;)

I really do enjoy the music though, and in fact I'm a huge collector of soundtracks, both game and movie.

The majority of the stuff I listen to on my hifi setup (office stereo) is orchestral soundtracks, including (but not limited to) fantasy and sci-fi genres.

Music for video games is some of the most revolutionary and skillful music ever written. Nobuo Uematsu, the composer of Final Fantasy music, quite frankly, is a genius - his works rival the standard of Beethoven's and Mozart's back in their day. I'm studying video game music at school as music itself rather than background music to fit the video game, and it is just utterly mindblowing. I wouldn't hesitate to say that video game music is one of the highest calibres of music existing today.

I'm not saying that soundtrack music is crap, quite frankly I like the Final Fantasy music and even the stuff from Ragnarok Online. It's just the whole WoW concept. I have always never been a fan of it (having to buy the game+expansion AND paying a monthly fee) and kinda frown down on people that play it lol (well not really but you get what I mean). A few of my friends play it and I have seen how it can consume your life (seriously you should see one of my mates haha).

BTW: the new official meaning of WoW is "Waiting on Warhammer" lol

Yeah music in games can be amazing like all the Battlefield series have good music. Halo also has the most wonderful music in video games I have ever heard. All games have music in them but you never notice it. The funny thing is though when there isn't any music it feels like there is something missing and the world is to quite.

Also going back to final fantasy I thought I would share this.
