I am new to all this modding and im not doing anything major, just some lighted up neons and fans in my clear atx case. But my problem is that i bought my case and 3 blue led fans and the fans have a different connection to the ones that came with the case.
The ones that came with the computer already attached, had cables that came out like this: http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/images/info/IMG_FA-GTROT6CMBK_28580_0_lrg.jpg
I know they are power cables, one in and one out so it can continue throughout other power things.
But the ones i bought have cables come out like this: http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/images/info/IMG_AL-ZM-F1_36906_0.jpg
How would i over come this problem? I dont know where to plug these fans in, only the ones with the power cables.
Thanks in addvance for help. ~Pyro

Another possibility until you get the cables is (witch I dont really recommend for a long period, cause it consume alot of power of the board itself) is to connect them directly on the motherboard. Also bad if you have a cheap Power supply

if you want to do it on the cheap, neatly, then it's very easy so long as the fans are near to the original (4-pin) ones.
look at the ones on the 4-pin connectors, the fan itself will have just the red and black wires connected to the yellow and black of the molex.
It's a simple task to cut off the connector from the new fan, and attach the red and black wires to the existing 4-way connectors.
Simply strip about 1cm of insulation from each, push it through from the back of the molex, bend the bare end over and plug in.
It loooks neater than it sounds

the power for that front fan is connected to the molex on the middle disk in the same way.
As for the third wire on the fan (if there is one), that's for feedback for speed control. You don't need that so just cut it off.
lots of good info in the replies. +rep to everyone who helped out.

is there any danger in running a small 50 mm fan off of my usb's power?

may not be a problem, but the usb provide only 5v, so the fan may run quietly, but dont move a lot of air
