HDD Question

I just got my new HDD and I am having trouble getting it to work? I have 2 HDD's hooked up. I have a 60GB as my main and I just hooked up my 320GB. I only have 1 IDE slot. I have a IDE cable that is split to master and slave. I have the Master plugged into the 60 and the slave into the 320. When I boot up my computer it reads the both but it keeps saying the 60 is disabled, but when I look at the my computer icon and select my C:/ drive it show the 60's stats and I can't find the 320 anywhere? Can anyone help?
*For those wondering, the 60 is my original HDD and whatnot and the computer I have I bought from a friend so I don't have the OS disk.*

go to control panel-> Performance and maintenance -> Administrative tools -> computer management then click on disk management. and you might have to format it from there then assign it a drive letter. i had the same problem with my 320. hope this helps you.

I accidently stumbled upon that actually! It worked perfectly! Now I just have to figure out how to the my DVD-Rom to work :(
