So, I don't have one, have never used one, have never really done any type of mod work, but I would like to have one. Can you guys help me pick one out? I have no idea what to look for.

Having one for the sake of it? Try going into your local hardware store and asking to have a look. Its the best way.

Fair enough.

Try going into your local hardware store and asking to have a look.

Probably the best thing to do.

But there's things to check for, like:
-Dont get a wireless one. Might be usefull for etchiing, but a real pain in the a$$ for cutting
-Good RPM (bigger the better)
-Dimmer for RPM, for different kind of cuts

I probably forget some other advices...

Get one which runs directly off the mains. Mine used an 18V DC transformer. Possibly safer, but it was weak.

Hey, Slytherock--why is a cordless dremel bad for cutting?

I got one for Christmas, and I haven't used it yet............

They aren't bad. They can be a pain in the arse sometimes though. Ever been in a situation where you are doing something and the tool you are using suddenly goes dead? ><

Which model do you have? There is one that I heard good things from. Probably because of its large battery capacity.

Higher RPM's aren't always better, they can actually work against you. Go for one with a good set of variable speeds. I'm pretty sure someone will explain why, I can't seem to remember though.

Hmmm, what else what else... You should get a Flex Shaft, those are handy.

Found it, this is the one I was going to get. But due to having freaking no money at all because people don't know how to pay you back when they say they will! ...anyways here it is.

Thats a featured website off of Dremels website too, so I'm pretty sure you can trust it.

After looking at reviews for Dremels... it seems that there is alot of people who don't like them. Whats with that? I thought these things were supposed to be awesome?

Dremel Lithium Ion 10.8v...

I think that's the right volt number....

It has the speed adjuster (5000 to 35000)

It also has alot of different attachments that came in the box, which I am dying to use...............

Soon........
