Hello Everyone
I’ve been a member of this community since October, but this is my first post here. I’ve spent much of my time lurking about and reading. I’ve decided to step into the light and post my idea for a mod id like to do. I’m posting it here, for being the poor college girl I am, I can currently only afford to build and mod the case. Hopefully some extra income will allow me to actually put some stuff in it in the future.
This project would be my first computer build. I’ve “built” computers before in my Tech classes and replaced parts on the servers of my work. But, this would be the first time I built my own computer. I’m fairly excited about it.
I’ve decided to start with a fairly simple build, nothing hard core yet. I have two ideas in mind, both connected to the same concept. Id like to build a computer inspired by Electricity. The two names I had in mind were Static E and Tesla
I wanted to use the Xoxide X-Purity Case to start.

Id like to create a custom panel for the top three bays and mount a blue 6 inch Luma disk into it. This would take up the top three bays, and leave me with the lower bay to use.

I was planning on calling in a favor from a local family friend and having a set of custom fan covers made. Though.. I haven’t decided what image to use.
If I had the money, I was going to have the side window etched with a crackle pattern, or similar inspired image. Though, I admit I’m not even sure if it can be done where I live.
Id use two 80mm blue LED fans for the tops and the sides, one purple LED fan for the back. Throw in a set of UV cold cathodes and UV purple or white cable sleeves or heat shrink. I’m having a hell of a time finding UV purple, so white sleeves are what I’ll probably end up using. Id basically like the contrast to be mostly blue light, with purple guts. :P
If I go with the name Tesla, I was considering throwing in a set of lighted vacuum tubes and possible a non-functional small Tesla coil, or an imitation one wrapped in UV wire.
The Tesla coil thing seemed a bit silly though, considering its purpose.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be wonderful! I'm in need of inspiration for the images on the case window and fan covers.
