its about time. Railguns are simple devices, its nice to see someone finally see this and make one that works to its full potential.

It's OK. But what I'd like to see is The Cerebral Bore from Turok. Nice!!

Good techy stuff mind. Neat.

In essence, they're actually quite simple. My friend is building one for science fair and I have helped him with it some and I realize how simple they are.

aside from the high current, high voltage, plasma, and wear and tear issues... ya they are fairly simple. if you want to do some serious damage though, you need BIG guns, hence the 32 megajoules.

id like to know how they stop the rails from disintegrating. so far every railgun i know of has had problems with the rails just vaporizing because of the high voltage and heat.

a site to check out is powerlabs. the guy running the site has a hand in anything you can imagine, and he has videos of railguns firing.

plenty of theory too.

ive been seeing "railgun" projects for quite sometime now. more often than not, they were small and/or home made.

good to know theyre getting bigger and better already, lol
