If I had a good socket 478 waterblock, I'd already have a setup, but I don't do gaming or anything that I'd really need a great cooling solution for. Plus I'm really disappointed with my Vapochill Experience; a bad watercooling experience will cause me to toss R2D2 down the damn stairs.

I removed the Vapochill hose from the motherboard.

And fed the hose out of the bottom.

It looks like R2 is giving birth to it here:

And here it is all out and now it’s on ebay.

But go figure the bracket that came with it was designed to hold one of those generic black fans on, not mine.

I went to Lowe’s and bought this threaded rod. Luckily I bought a few because bending them into brackets caused some to snap.

I affixed them to the fan

And put it on.

I was thinking of doing a project update, by adding a newer system to R2D2. Currently it has:
Abit IC7-G
P4 3.2GHz
2GB OCZ DDR400
256MB Radeon X1950GT
120GB HD
7.1 Surround Sound
1 Floppy drive
1 slot loading CD drive
1 internal and 1 external DVD drive
R2-D2 is still a great machine even in the dual core world. But I was thinking about going to Quad Core this year. Your thoughts?

Those specs are approx the same as my main system. That board is amazing, and you should be able to OC it alot. I say stick with it

I already have OC'd it. When I had the phase change cooling, I had my 3.2 revved up to 4.7!

Hmmm....I wonder why it let me Digg it again separately? The list didn't show it. Strange.
