Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if any one who owns an iPod has the same problems as I am having.
Every movie I have works perfect on my computer. Then I encode the movie into mpeg4 and transfer it onto my iPod. Then I watch the movie on my iPod, but it doesn't always work. I'll be watching the movie and some ways into it, it will freeze up and make funky sounds (from the speakers) and then just exit out of the movie. This only happens to SOME movies, but its usually a 50/50 ratio.
Anyone have a similar problem? I'm using ImTOO 3GP video converter to convert the files. Before that I used Videora. Both gave me these issues...

I've had similar problems. Mostly theres been no sound atall, or no picture. I used ImToo aswell. I don't like my ipod atall, i'd love to beable to stick with CD's. (Buggers wont fit in my pocket!)

Yeah, I don't know what it is... I guess its the converter because the movies are just fine on my computer.
I'm considering getting a Zune... but that means I won't be able to play the videos on my TV or in my portable video player anymore as I would have to sell both my iPod and my video player to have even close to enough to get a Zune... but if its the converter? oh who knows! I hate things that cost a bundle but don't work like how much you paid for them.

DO IT! DO IT NOW! I just got a Zune 2 days ago  and it is the coolest thing ever. Picture quality is great, and some of the preloaded pictures and videos are actually cool. And Zunes are only $250, same as an iPod.
