The DX1 is a customisable keyboard with which you are able to move the keys to whatever shape you wish. The keys will still work and stay put. The keys can even be made to signify multiple keystrokes. See a full review here (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1817458,00.asp). This can really say something about you and your case. However at US$150 on a keyboard it will most likely say "I have to way to much money for my own good"

i personally wouldnt spend $150 on this, its not even a keyboard, rather some programmable keys that you can slap on ure desk beside the keyboard. however i wouldnt mind trying it and perhaps buying it for under $30

Keys can be easily shuffled around for a customized layout and even act as different commands in different programs to suit your work style. So gamers, for instance, can have a completely personalized setup with keys that can do anything a standard keyboard can do, and then rearrange the keys into a more casual setup when dealing with more common Windows applications.

Do you realise how long that would take with each and every key able to be moved on its own?

We enjoyed looking at these printed labels, which would go on the keys themselves, if you want. They also gave us an idea on what macros we can assign for each key.

I can see those stickers staying on the keys for about 2 months before you're stuck working with un-labled keys

All in all it seems kind of excessive for a keyboard "system" and at that price i'll pass on it.

More like, "I have more money than brains".

I've seen this keyboard, and I'm really not impressed. Neat gimick, but very impractical.

Now, wanna see a cool keyboard? Go check out the Optimus keyboard.

It's not out, yet. It's supposedly coming soon, and man, oh MAN do I want one.

However, I'm not sure I'm ready to give up the arm and a leg it will most likely cost.

I'd attach it under the desk my "secret command panel"

One button the Screen Flips up out of the desk another button opens the false wall or bookcase. . :D And a button that despences soda. . . I can see it now up. . down. . left. . right. . splish splash. .

And one for the massage on the pc chair. . lol

A button to call the Gurls up and convince them to come over ;)

My understanding is that the keys use magnets to stay attached to the base, so why couldnt you print up a label sheet and stick the keys on top of that? Then you could have multiple sheets for diff games/apps, and not have to worry about labels on the keys themselves. Here's a pic I stole from Thinkgeek.
