Just wanted to know does wifi give out radiation as my nextdoor neighbour keeps complaining about the wireless always being on and that it making him ill

Or just turn off your SSID BROADCAST option within the router. You will still be able to connect, but he will not see it. Then after a couple days, (after you have played along) ask him if he is feeling better since you "turned it off.."

Lol wow... this just seems silly. Im usually alllllll for not doing things that might cause harm or illness to others, but come on ... the wireless radiation is making him sick?

I also say go with the plan mentioned above but before you break the news to him that you never shut your router off let him see you bringing home a "bigger more powerful 802.11n router"

Or whenever he complains you could just tell him that if he has a problem with it to take it up with the local goverment and that when that fails he can build a Faraday cage around hims house/apartment. Then he will be safe from all the evil radiation that society is leaking in to his house.

At my lake house, we have those bug away devices that plug into your wall. They make a clicking sound. Well, my friend came over once and he was almost immediately sick after walking into a room with one of the "clickers" installed.

I've an idea. Get some cardyboard tubes and some silver paint, and make some sort of huge device that you then tell him...oh, i dunno, tell him it boosts your wireless signal to a huge range, maybe a couple of miles. Then tell him he might want to wear a foil hat like the one above when he's coming over to visit.

Then watch him go ape****.

I guess my sarcasm wasn't conveyed properly in my post. :D My point was 2.4Ghz phones are more widely used then Wifi gear. I would guess that the "radiation" from a cordless phone isn't much different from Wifi gear. I would almost put money on the fact HE has a cordless phone. :D

It reminds me of something that happened not too long ago, when there were som riots going in France. I was in the break room at the office getting a soft drink. There is a TV in there and it was tuned to CNN. The reporter was was reading the copy and she came to the one part that mentioned that a majority of the rioters were black. EXCEPT, instead of saying black she said "African-Americans".. I was like "Did she really say that??" to the others in the room. The sad thing was NOBODY knew what I was talking about until I spelled it out for them.

my suggestion with the wifi thing is wait till your neighbour is out, then make purchasement of large reems of aluminium foil and proceed to wrap his house in it (if it's a flat, do the above with the door) leave a note saying "I was concerned with your illness so i took measures to protect you from my negligence."

alternative, mock up a letter from the leukemia (sp?) society saying "wifi has been found to cause serious radioactive birth defects, which shouldn't bother you because nobody would mate with you in the first place you sad demented loser!" you could make it more official, then at the bottom use the word "sucker!"
