Hello, and greetings from Montana. I am relatively new to the modding scene, and for one of my first projects, I am planning on using plexi for the bottom and top of my case. This will be my music/multimedia system with a definite music theme. So here's my question to the collective: What's the best way to add mounting brackets to plexi? My main computer is UV plexi (pics will be up eventually--gotta get a decent camera), and it looks like Logisys used some sort of mounting block for the screws. If this is the best way to go, can anyone point me in the general direction of a supplier?
TIA,

Are you just trying to mount the acrylic to the sides of the case?
You could use "L" brackets and bolts or screws, or those acrylic cubes logisys uses. I actually have some of the logisys cubes - I built my own acrylic case, and I considered using them. So, if you'd like some, I still have a big bag of them that I bought from Logisys a while ago.

Not so much the sides, but rather the top and bottom--I'm planning on getting a floor tom from a drumset off of Ebay and turning that into my case, complete with sound activated lights for nighttime goodness. I'm also kicking around the idea of four rack mounted toms to use as speaker shells and a bass drum shell for the subwoofer--kinda got a theme going here.
A simple (compared to some of the awe inspiring work I've seen here) mod for sure, but IMHO, I think it'll be killer once it's complete. And, it fits me quite well LOL.
I'm still hashing out the smaller details (lights, switches, paint job, etc), but made a lot of progress tonite on the basics of this design.
So in a nutshell, I'm looking for a way to install two circular shaped chunks of plexi onto a wood frame.
TIA,
