Special Shortcuts

Does anybody know of a way that I can have 2 programs open from one shortcut?

(If so, once I close one, can I have it close both at at the same time?)

maybe you could write some sort of script?

make a shortcut to the script-file, the script opens the programs and will remain active in the background, then when you close one the script closes the other...

I think this would be theoretically possible, I don't know how to do it though...

(sorry that didn't help you, you probably thought of this yourself...)
