ok, i just bought one of these puppies. It's nice, very nice! however, on getting it home, i realised when i came to fit the cpu WB that the retention brackets were all wrong. turns out i have the WB3 rather than the WB4 (which fits socket am2) not to be disheartened, i modded a clip from an old stock am2 air cooler i had lying around (which happened to fit perfectly)
now i'm getting cold feet (no pun intended) about leaving my modded clip on the £200 cpu, and would like to replace it with a stock WB4 designed to fit socket AM2.
the questions:
1. is there a clip that i can use to clip the WB3 to my mobo and make me feel a little better about it?
2. how would i drain the system so i can replace the WB3 with a WB4?
