Whats your Favorite Band??
And Favorite Song
I was just wondering what everyones favorite band is the rule is that there is no rule and I don't and anyone making them. Ok??
Mine would definately be Disturbed because I feel like they have a message to convey.
My favorite song would be 10,000 Fists Or Land Of Confusion

Woah. That totally looks like spam, but from an established member. Weird. I guess it isn't.
Mine is probably Kings of Leon. They have such a cool sound. Unlike just about anything I've ever heard.
The group that I have the most albums of is They Might Be Giants. They are amazing and transcend all genres, but are mostly indie. I have 13 of their albums and have just gotten lazy in keeping up. I have to say every one of their albums has brought something different to the table, and all have been a worthy buy. If you want to start with them though, buy the albums John Henry, and Flood. You can also go to their website and listen for free. They have a few.

OMG, this is like the 13th topic about music. Man do i love my music. Just the other day i was over at my neighbors house and he has 2000 some odd albums. I found some crazy rock thats been around the block but for the most part is unheard of.
Jean Michael Jarre - He is the creator of most of the techno beats you've heard regurgatated throughout the 90's.
Krokus - I was astounded when i went through the tracks from krokus, old time rock that rocks. Every track kicked arse.
Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe has to be my fav track, come to think of it, 99% of tom cochran's songs kick ass.

Iron Maiden is my favourite band, and Their song "2 Minutes to Midnight" is my favourite song.
The music video makes NO sense, though. But that's Maiden for you.
.Maleficus.

Probably Pain of Salvation for me. That is some incredible Prog stuff right there.
Their new album came out recently, called "Scarsick" and it's amazing.

Depends on my mood at the time, I have no one favourite as such.
I like blues, rock (but not too heavy), ambient (try some of this, it's free) (http://ambientnights.org/), electronic (Jarre, Tangerine Dream), and 'girly' rock (Avril Lavigne, Ashlee Simpson), and I have a real soft spot (right here beside me...) for Vanessa-Mae.
I dislike disco, rap, hip hop, house etc.
Back in the seventies I was into progressive rock. ELP, Yes, Genesis.

Oh yeah, I love 311.
Metallica's album S&M is the best ever. All the hits and an orchestra!

I must be the resident metal head..
Lamb of God, Soilwork, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Bullet for my Valentine, Coldseed, Machinehead, Strapping Young Lad (Canuck Metal!!), and loads of local and unsigned bands you've never heard of.
Camisado and Becoming the Martyr from Red Deer, Anxiety of Influence and Marble Engine from Edmonton, etc.
But then again, I'm also big into acoustic stuff, goa, umm.. ok, I'm a music fiend.

My favorite band is the Rolling Stones

I pretty much stopped listening to Metallica after the black album. The "new stuff" just didn't appeal to me. My taste in music is so diverse.. this post would take forever.

I wouldn't call you the resident metalhead. Sure, you listen to metal and have a respectable variance, but I've listened to everything from Prog to Heavy to Speed to Black to Death to Drone to Sludge to Doom to Viking to Folk and everything in between, even crazy and awesome fusions. =]

Actually, I posted Iron Maiden before you xD
And if you don't consider Iron Maiden to be metal, well then.... You have some serious issues.

Actually, I would have to say that Disturbed isn't metal. I know, I've listened to them. And I can't judge Krokus because I've never heard it.
That just means that cana beat me.
