Ok so I completely went against everything I said about Windows Vista and bought myself a new Vista laptop.

http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/productPage.do?service=UK&PRODUCT_ID=125290&toshibaShop=false

I am really pleased with it so far. Vista does actually really seem to be cool!!

Tell me what you guys think of the laptop.

Nice laptop, specs a bit like mine or close enough.

Hows Vista? Is it like Mac OS X, like everyone else says, this is why i can't be arsed with Vista, cus iom hoping to get a Mac and ill keep XP on my laptop untill i get a Macbook if i ever do..

I dont think so personally but I know alot of people have said it has. What you have to remember about the people saying it is, how many of them have a fully activated version of Vista Home Premium? I bet barley none of them do so is it worth listening to them.

Why does it say "32-bit operating system"? I thought that Vista would be 64.....

I believe theres two editions. I for one don't have a 64 bit processor, thus I couldn't run vista if that was true...

P.S. Gaz your sig is HUGE

Ah, I see...odd, because there's already an XP64....is vista just XP64 with a new look, a few interesting features, and added security then?

Have a browse at the Windows Vista thread in Opeterating Systems.

There is quite a bir about it in there.

nice specs, but more ram would be nice. I guess most of the reviews are saying that 3gigs is the prefered amount for vist, but I know that's pretty expensive on a laptop.

just looked around, and no one (dell, alienware, gateway, hp ect) even offers anything more than 2 gigs on laptops. I don't know much about notebooks, but how many slots are there for ram, 2? if so I dont think you can even make your own with more than two gigs

He's just doing that to show us that he has a widescreen Laptop. :)

It is rather wide, Gaz. doesn't fit on my 1024 screen.

<drool>Nice laptop, I like Toshiba, especially the newer ones. What's that incredibly shiny black one? Qosmio?</drool>
