Greetings,

I've got a pretty nice case, and it does hold everything well enough, but it is hard to work on... It seems like I've always got one more thing to do on my system before it's done (drives my wife crazy ). I'd really like to hear from anyone that uses a tech station for everyday use and how well thing hold up... What are the "real" advantages and "disadvantages". I'd love to have my system open and assessable, I think I'd even mod it to have permanent switches, LEDs and a front panel.

Would it run cooler? What do you think?

Welcome to TBCS.

I've used a Tech Station to test out parts.
The real advantage is the ease of swapping parts out and testing questionable lights, fans, cards, mobo's . .ect.

The only disadvantage is everything is out in the open and you have wires everywhere and it easy to bump drives and such off the top.
Or spill something on your electronics.

As far as it running cooler. . Id imagine so.. because you wouldn't have a case trapping in hot air.

Check out the one Crimson Sky made = Tech Station (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320)
You could easily made your own with the right measurements.
