One thing I've noticed with ebay, it's sometimes cheaper to buy an older (say PIII) computer and gut it than it is to buy a new case. Shipping/handling seems to be about the same.
Having said that, it looks like a pretty decent case. Some bondo, a file, a dremel and some lights and I think you'd be all set!

Having a small computer for LANs is fine. I wish mine was smaller than it is when I go to LANs...
Pros of m-Atx: Small, light weight...
Cons: m-Atx boards have a lot less features on them (less RAM slots, and tend to be older boards), hard to work in the tight spaces, poor (sometimes) airflow.
But hey, if you're gonna mod it, then you should be fine with most of those cons! If you want a small LAN rig, I'd say go for m-Atx.

The only thing that would be a diffrent price is the mobo. All other parts are interchangable across the ATX form factor's (with the possible exception of the PSU which would be dependant on the case and nothing more).
