i know this keeps coming back,

but what is the program where you can completely change the theme of your
desktop.

It changes the colors of the toolbar and icons and stuff

I found a patch that lets you use unsigned themes in xp without other programs, if you wait till i get home i can get the link for you.

Other than that there is:

1. Style XP
2. Windows Blinds

and i think there might be one or two more.

If were going to mention shells replacements, might as well mention litestep and black box lean

I think if your just trying to keep the same functionality but re-theme everything your better choices would be windows blinds or style xp. They seem to be two of the most popular.

windows blinds (http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/)

WindowsBlinds.
Aston.
bblean.
Litestep.

Those are the only ones I've personally used. I like Aston and bblean the most. WindowsBlinds was a resource hog. Litestep's theming was too confusing for me to want to learn. Aston was very nice. bblean is from Linux's Blackbox and was ok, not the greatest, but tolerable.
