I wanna know how to get into Beta testing stuff,

i always hear about it and it seems to good to be true,

you usually have to be refered by a friend or know somone high up in the company. Its not all that its cracked up to be anyway.

The point of a beta tester is to run the buggy software and report the bugs. Not as glamorous as it seems.

I'm signed up for Windows Live Mail Beta. I'm a very bad beta tester, i "test" it but don't report jack lolz.

I had a friend that did game testing for ea and said it was one of the most boring jobs he had ever had

Beta testing sucks. you get to go over every part of a piece of software at least a few dozen times. and report to (at least in my case, a guy who knows nothing about the software in general) so they can email India and have it all lost in translation while nothing gets fixed anyways. glamorous.

BTW it was for Internet Gaming Cafe software. and when They said it was finished you could still just hit the windows key and go to the desktop.
