What sort?
ie: Plate, pipe, sheet?

Copper pipe could be bought from a plumbing supply store.

You might be interested in checking this site out. http://zfz.com/

You have copper being used to make everything from water-blocks to water-cooled PSU.

Note: There hasn't been an update on this site forever and the forum isn't worth looking at. But it's worth a first look.

Copper is everywhere. Hardware stores (in sheets, tubing, etc.), PC shops, and places around town. I just go to Lowe's (or UK equivalent :p).

Not when you need a 1" thick chunk of it. Checking online is your best bet. I could give you a hundred US sites, but have fun in the UK.
