AOE2 on vista

age of empires 2 is one of my favorite games because it will work on almost any quality computer
but now im worried that vista is too new or someting and AOE2 wont be compatible with it. (the system reqs. dont even have windows XP)

Hmm...usually, you'll be able to get a fix, fan made or not. I have two games (LBAII and Machines) that were made for windows 95/98 boxes, and the fans made fixes to make them work on XP. Age of Empires 2 will eventually get bridged too.
