Now, why would I need to do this when I already have two DVD drives in my computer? Simple. So I can watch DVDs with other people over a video connection.

Or I could simply hook up my 360 to my computer and play on it there, but that's no fun. Or I could hok the DVD player up to my TV and then output the TV to the computer. But, meh, this works.

or just buy a 360 hd dvd drive or a ps3 and there you have either one for a whole lot cheaper!

That's just a waste of money IMO. It'd be like buying a DVD player when they came out. You remember how much they were? like 800$? give it 2 years and *then* go get blu-ray... you won't pay an arm and a leg..
