Hey everyone,
Im just starting out on modding and I'm looking to build my own computer and i was wondering what kind of things i need to keep in mind as im building, such as temperature management, cable management.. things of that nature, im wanting my first project to be awesome and a great learning experience. Any kind of input would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the TBCS boards MDxHC! Always happy to see someone new jumping in the water. The advice you are asking for is a little vague, best thing to do is spend some quality time going through our worklog section and see how other people managed these things. See what worked and what didn't, then you can get a more specific idea of what you want to do and build your design on that. Then would be the time the members would be able to answer your questions. Best of luck!

well basically what im trying to find out is what do i need to keep in mind as i work, to keep my computer in well working condition, i know that heat is the biggest enemy and such, basically i just want some pointers as to what to avoid doing that could potentially lead to a badass looking case with a non working computer in it :)

The PC components are fairly versitile, and you can arrange them practically any which way to build your mod. You already seem to be aware that heat is an issue and you can always run tests as you put things together to see that they are not overheating. Just be sure there is some degree of airflow through your PC to remove heat and you should be fine. Keep in mind that the power supply sucks air out the back, so if needed you can add case fans to create a directional airflow. As long as it's not sealed shut, you should be good.
