i was looking at a mdg computer and it uses this motherboard
a Intel 975XBX Board
http://www.hardwarezone.com/img/data/articles/2006/1854/wrapup_EFI2.jpg
it has 3 PCI-e slots so what would happen if 3 video cards were put in? would it work ? could you somehow modify the sli bridge connectors so it bridges 3 cards
and yes i know i spelt triple wrong after the fact though... i suck at english what can i say!?!?

Yeah Gigabyte even made a QUAD SLI board. Didn't do anything but anyway.
ATI unveiled a system with either one or two graphics cards running in crossfire and an extra graphics card that has been reflashed to just do in game physics. The cool thing is the physics card doesn't have to match the other.
This sounds like a gimmick though.

AMD and Nvidia are planing to do something with pyshics. As you can see on Nivida's 680i chipset motherboards, there are 3 PCI-e slots. 2 of them are x16 and one of them is x8. The 8800GTX has 2 SLI bridges on them so there is no need to modify.
If I remember correctly, you don't have to have 3 cards to get physics. You can have 2 cards. One for graphics and the other for physics. I think this method is also availabe. And it makes sense for those who don't have that kind of money.
