I designed and built a hard wood maple case. On the bottom of the case is a water cooling pump housing designed to be under the case. I would like to fine quick disconnects for the 1/2" tubing run up to cool the CPU/Water fillport. Does anyone have any ideas? I dont want some huge disconnects like a air coupling. Just something that I can make it easy to separate the two units for any work/repairs that may need to be done.

First off, welcome to TBCS! This is a great community. I don't have any experience with water cooling, but I'm sure someone will be along with some suggestions. Got pics? We LOOOOVE pics.

Mods: can we have this moved to The Ice Box?

Yep I have a bunch of Pics and I am in the process of a new system using my previous plans. I drafted everthing out in cad to make sure all issues are covered prior to building this rig. I had some lessons learned on the last project.

Just so everyone has an idea I found that 1/2" barb quick disconnects can be found in Beer making! I have hunted these for several days now and here is what I found..

They are still a little pricey but not like the cost of some others in the hydraulic world.

Of course they are on back order but it should be back in stock 2/28 according to their site.

Tale Gunner-
Very creative! I would not have thought to investigate in the beer industry for water connectors, nice find and thanks for sharing! I'll bet this info will be useful to others as well.

Here is my layout for the water cooling and the reason why I need quick dissconnects.

I have started my work log of my project Cherry wood case with water cooling. Take a look and tell me what you think. I know most of the post is cad drawings but it will get more interesting I assure you.
