well i got on to play some bf2 earlyer and my computer froze up for some reason during the loading. so i turned it off and turned it back on. when i turned it back on it went thru every boot up page except the windows one, wich i have disabled anyway so its like staring at a blank screen for minutes , so after a couple of times rebooting i opened up my computer and reconnected some plugs and whatnot, i turn it back on and now nothing comes up , yes the monitor is plugged in :) so now i need some help cuz this sucks ha

try to make boot in safe mode, and then make a system restore
press F8 to make the system show you the boot option, select safe mode, and if it boots, do what i said
if not, i don't know

Did you smell something like burning electronics? If so, something inside is most likely fried, I had to get a new CPU (and motherboard because they don't sell Socket A anymore) because something similar to this happened to me recently. Hope this helps somewhat...

Well, for starters, you could try another power supply... depending on how messed up it is, it might boot... the only thing I can think of that could mess up a PSU is a power surge, that or something shorting out...
If your PSU was messed up, it could start up, but it might damage some of your hardware, if it's totalled, I don't think it would boot at all, because you didn't smell anything, I'd have to say that it's most likely not the PSU, but probably a loose connection somewhere... or you may have gotten a virus that fried you PC...

Yeah, that doesn't look friendly whatsoever... you might want to try another PSU... that looks as though that's your problem right there, heh heh... when you get a replacement, make sure it's at least the same wattage as your busted one. That thing looks bad. Let me know your results when you replace that thing, whew...

It won't happen again unless the same circumstances for it to happen are present, the chance of it happening while those aforementioned circumstances are there, depends on the brand PSU. If you plan on adding more hardware to your PC, then go with the 550w. If not, just go with a 500w, unless a better one is cheaper. Make sure that you go with a good brand, as they'll serve you much better. I have a Thermaltake, and it's pretty good, but you can choose the brand you'd like. Look on Newegg for them, Newegg has great shipping, and the user reviews are an invaluable asset for choosing a good product. I'm glad I could help you figure this out.

Hey, I don't mind. I've had my share of problems before, without help too... so why not make other people's problems a little easier on their behalf and solve them faster than with only one mind? Was it just the PSU?

Looks good to me, great reviews, great company... over my budget, but hey, if you've got the money, go ahead. I'd buy it. Looks like it'll serve you well.
Hopefully the old one didn't damage anything important... that could get expensive.

Yeah. Let's hope it doesn't come down to that. You didn't smell anything burning, so it should be fine. I had to replace my CPU and motherboard because something messed up, I had to replace the motherboard because I couldn't get a new Socket A CPU... they stopped selling them a couple months ago. I like my dual core better anyway...

it says Intel® ATX12V V2.01 Form Factor / SSI EPS12V V2.1 Form Factor for this power supply , does that mean i can use it if i have AMD or no?
.Maleficus.

Yep, you can use it.
Also, you might look into this Hiper PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817128002). I have it right now, and it is incredible. Very stable.
