Friday afternoon, I got food poisoning, and it really does suck. I threw up about 25 times and then I got dehydrated. I feel better now, but my parents said I need to drink more water. It lasted only one night, so it wasn't too bad. It could always be worse :p.

Yesterday, I had a root beer float from KFC. It tasted water downed and they only gave me one scoop of ice cream for a medium size.
The same night I got diarrhea. Coincidence? More like there is a very good reason why I don't like fast food. ><

did you also have the transfat infused chicken as well? that will loosen up your constitution a lot faster than a rootbeer, which by the way is a known digestive root good for constipation.

I'm not sure that it's transfat infused... but considering I work there, I probably know a little more than most. The one I work at doesn't sell root beer floats as far as I know... we get the chicken from Tyson and other companies like that, it comes like store bought chicken, only in bulk bags. The cook breads it, and then puts it in the fryer... I'm not sure what grease they use though... I was looking at the boxes last night and the tubs inside were labeled "shortening" or some crap like that...

God, if you love me, please don't let them stone me to death...
I don't like chicken. ><
lol I don't like fish either, they both make me expel my digestive juices.
I did know that actually! I was watching the History channel or something like that one time and they were talking about where root beer was originated and what it was used for. Which was for illness's of the stomach. lol It's kind of funny really, knowing that, you could say that we are all drinking stomach medicine like candy! :p ...so next time you see a guy chugging a bottle of pink, don't diss! Because you do it all the time! **kidding, pink and soda are completely different and people should never induce more than the recommended amount. lol not that you would want to, UCK!

Oh, and all this happened while I was in a car to Florida, and while staying overnight in a hotel. I feel totally over it now, and its nice to be able to eat/drink again (lol). Have to go to a wedding to day in Ft. Lauderdale.

wow, if thats true... im scared. shortening is very high fat... its what they cut into dough to make it nice and flaky once its baked. frying chicken in shortening is such a bad idea... i think id rather eat a block of butter.
I don't like chicken. ><

you sir shall never be coming over for dinner then. chicken and fish are my favourites... especially sockeye salmon and halibut. grouper is good too because it actually does taste like chicken... i had it in cancun for breakfast many times and before i read what it was, i thought it was chicken. only fish im not too crazy about is snapper. i had some in maui and that stuff is just weird... if its done wrong it is VERY rubbery.
now back on the topic of food poisoning. a while back i had a case of that. it was the strangest thing though. it was like a really severe hangover. the first stage... i puked like crazy for a while. the next stage... i couldnt stop shaking and i felt really hot. that went away after a few hours... and then i had a nasty headache for a day after that probably because of dehydration. i kept drinking tons of water, but it just went right through me and i just about pissed my pants a couple times. i dont remember what i ate that made me sick... i think it may have been some keftedes at a greek restaurant. anyways... not very fun at all. now i always make sure my meat isnt pink.
They don't use shortening like Crisco.
Most chains keep their frying oil a secret because it helps give specific flavor to whatever you're deep frying. Almost all deep frying done in major chains is done with modified peanut or vegetable oil.
Chicken, fish and game are my big 3 meats.
I've never had food poisoning. I've had a digestive issue that lasted 14 months in which for no reason I would have cramps, gas, and sharp stabbing pains and I would have to use the bathroom immediately. Specific foods caused flares, so I kept my consumption down and ate very little outside of my 'safe' foods.

A few weeks ago my Nan was taken into hospital. She was OK we had dinner at her house the night she got let out. Everything was sweet......Until the WEEKEND.. The same weekend we were having the windows in the house done...All of them...Me, Mum and Dad all had the ****s and the Barfin for 24 Hrs. While having no windows in the house we grew to know each other... It was horrible....

The "shortening" is more of just unmelted grease... they pour it in the fryer, and it melts into the grease, and they put new grease in the fryers every day. Hey, I haven't died yet from eating the chicken at work (KFC), so it can't be that bad...

I only eat at work when I'm working (not while I'm working, when I'm on break), and maybe every other couple weeks or so while I'm "off-duty." McDonald's is WAY worse than we are, they have some nasty stuff there... as far as I know, we don't have anything "processed," except for maybe the popcorn chicken, but having "dissected" it while eating it, it looked like real white meat to me... the chicken strips are the same way. We're like a fast food + homestyle restaurant in one...
Fried foods are unhealthy. Don't lie to yourself that one is worse than another. Fried food is bad for you. It hardens your arterial walls and causes arterial plaque. Say hello to circulation problems, stroke or heart attack.
If you have a balanced diet, then fried food isn't nearly as bad, but most people who are health conscious enough don't eat fast food. It's full of fat, salt and processed carbs. No thanks.

I know it's bad, that's why I only eat it while I'm working, or at least I usually do... it's hard to eat healthy when your school serves what is best described as **** for lunch. I despise Sysco (or it might be spelled "Cysco")... that company is pure evil...

Yes. Sysco is evil (they're food is horrible all around, and its not the sodas that are making people fat, unlike what the board members think). They need to start serving REAL food (unlike that soy crap).
Also, KFC is better than McDonalds, but they still have high fat content, and they use things such as preservatives/flavor enhancers (who wouldn't? lol).
I feel totally over it now. The wedding last night was full of a bunch of drunk people with ties on their heads and beer in their hand. I got a headache (loud music that nobody likes), and today is even worse. The buffet in the hotel I'm staying at has horrible service. No plates, hordes of illegal immigrants, etc.
