I just got an idea. Take some cheap case, paint it in BLACK (whole case), put a plexi on (etch spider web all across it), and paint it over the top side of that case. Put 2 Pairs of white neons, and watch the etching GLOW. I wanted to put few 80 x 80 blue coolers, but I think that would ruin the whole picture. The only glowing part should be neons, and that should rock....

Sounds easy enough. Why not give it shot? Get a 10 dollar case off of newegg, 5 dollar spray paint at your local hardware store, and find a retailer for plexi/acrylic. Well of course you would have to get an etcher too... but you can get a dremel etcher for like 20 bucks. Probably cost around 80 or less all together.

I know where i can get laser etching, so that would be no problem. The only problem is getting few white neons

Get LEDs instead of CCFLs as they won't produce heat and no inverter is needed; only a few resisters. (People don't use neons: it's either CCFL* or LEDs)

i ment CCFL. not neons. It flipped over my mind. we call them neons here. Sorry...

If you are going for the minimalist white/black look, it might be nice to mount some led's in the front of the case behind the bevel, could be a nice look...

no. actualy I wanted it to be ALL BLACk. I would like to paint it in the darkest shade of black I can find. And paint 1 big net Across Top and right hand side panel. On the left panel I want to put plexi with etched Spider Web, and that is all. So, now I am thinking about Light effects. I want etching to glow, and I don't know shoul I put couple of CCFL or just a few LED's. Tips Anyone?

I bought white cold cathodes at Xoxide, though if you're in Serbia, I don't really know.

I will see what I can do, but I'll find them.

BTW, I couldn't find small CCFLs. only big ones. I know that somewhere out there I can find smaller than 30 cm. I heard there are bout 10 cm long CCFLs.
