Here is my first 360 mod. I bought the black case for $40 but it did not have an X cutout. So i made the X myself and added my own smd's.

Opened xbox 360. By the way, I firmware modded it so it can play "backed up" games

Henmill.. youre right but i bought the full black knight case and then asked for a stencil to cutout the X, then bought the led board without the smd's and added them in. It was all plug and play but i had to buy the smd's and cutout the X but yes that case was my inspiration

While the cut is exactly the same style and and orintation as the one you can buy the led on the front is different plus the controller is moded. Props for converting your xbox so you can back up.

Thx. I raised the money for my 2nd one by the money i got from modding peoples 360's to play backups and adding windows.

Btw if someone can make me a sig that would be great. I like dark/blue themes

I would love to paint my 360 or buy a new case for it but I'm to afraid of the thing overheating to risk voiding the warranty.

Also how hard is it to take apart? I heard MS tried to make it difficult. My other fear is breaking it while voiding the warranty.

Since I'm not modding my 360 i however decided that i have no problem ripping apart an easily replaceable controller to sacrifice to the mighty paint gods. That is... if i ever get money to buy paint. Ive never painted before so hopefully it will go well.

all you need for the case is a paperclip, small screwdriver, Torx T10, and something long (5 inches) durable and skinny
