hey guys im looking for some advice. their is a cooler master rifle water cooling kit on newegg here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835103006) and i wanted to get considering that with the rebate its only 28 bucks, the problem is that i only have twenty bucks and their is no real way for me to currently make money. (i need working papers and i have to wait till next year when im fourteen) to top that off the rebate expires this Wednesday (the twentyeighth). i cant make it by then w/o the rebate i would need to make around 75$ my dad wont do it for me cuz he doesn't really no water cooling and he has the whole mentality of most humans: if i dont understand it its dangerous and he is convinced that its actually water in the tubes not non conductive liquid URG! also taking off the stock cooler on my processor will void the warranty  i dont really care considering that we never even sent in the friggen warranty! i really really want w/cing and i dont no what to do, help me out guys

thanks ben

if i dont understand it its dangerous

Like me (according to the retards that live in the county I go to school in), just kidding. ;) My dad seems to think that water cooling is crap because my uncle got a defective kit and it made lots of noise, whoop-dee-doo, one thing breaks, they're all crap? Pfft. Retards.

I'd help ya, but I'm in a similar situation as you, kinda broke, and I don't get paid for another week and a half, sorry man.

EDIT: +rep for having to put up with similar crap as me.

That's nothing; my parents first thought watercooling meant they'd have to route a waterline and a drain into my room. And I'm low on money too.

I can't wait to get a job. Too bad I've already got 250$ worth of anime on a tab waiting for the release of the series (It's not worth 250$, really, but who knows, maybe I won't spring for the special edition).

Anywho, I'm so working this summer. Huzzah being 16 (soon enough, anyways)

Yeah. My career will leave me with enough to get by on my own and have some comforts, but I'll always be so worn out from work. That's okay, I plan on doing my true love for a living -- I'm gonna be an auto mechanic.

Welcome to my world. If you are desperate for cash ask people if they want their computers fixed or mow lawns.

I know how you feel like. I wanted to build my first gaming PC and I had $0 for it. But lukily, my roommate hooked me up with a job and I was able to blow $2000 so I can waste my time in digital worlds. YAY!!! I pretty much waited over a year to finally build that PC.

Maybe you can do a garage sale? Or rent out your PC to your friends.

By the way, your dad must know a lot. Or does he not get on airplanes, drive a car, or even watch TV. He himself might spontaneously combust!

Jokes aside. I'm skeptical about water coolers like that. I'm not worried about the quality. But a decent to good air cooler may probably out-cool value water cooling kits.

C'mon guys!

If there's a will, there's a freaking way.
Drum it into your heads.

If you need money, that money will NOT come to your possession by sitting in front of the computer and posting on TBCS.

GET OUT THERE AND LOOK FOR MONEY.

Mow lawns.
Clean cars.
Wash dogs.
Clean garages.
Windows.
Paint houses.

WHATEVER.

If there's even one "but" in your reply, I know you really don't want that water cooler. Period.

:) Cheers Ben, best to you! :)
